Home : About Our Events : You Do The Acting

We want a Murder Mystery where we act the parts!

We often hear this request and we have perfected a format where we send one actor to run the show and you provide all the characters. We use our Reading of The Will script and the characters are; a solicitor, a Lady, her maid, a rich uncle and a gambling young aristocrat. If you want more parts then Ned the gardener and the Reverend Pugh can make an appearance!

How it works

We send you the script a couple of weeks before the show. We have adapted one of our most popular scripts for this event so there are no 'traps' for actors to fall into. Often people read from the script on the night, and that is not a problem. If the players have acting experience that is a bonus, but we really just need outgoing, fun people.

Our actor will play the detective on the evening, who is also the 'MC', making sure that everything is going to plan and supporting the cast.

This format works extremely well for groups who know each other and often the level of banter is very high. The audience always delights in seeing their friends doing this for them

We recommend this for social groups, clubs, PTAs and similar groups. For corporate groups or events where clients are attending we would usually recommend our full professional shows. However, you know your people and if you think this event would suit them then you are probably right. No two shows are ever the same with this format!

We have recently launched The Littleton Affair, which is a murder mystery where there are no lines to learn. A detective attends and runs the show and you have all the fun. Find out more.

"We just wanted to say a huge thank you for helping us to achieve such a great evening on Saturday! You were an absolute star and really helped our confidence levels with your patience and support, not to mention your brilliant acting. The Club members loved it and I am still getting really good feedback on the evening. I have a feeling that the audience relaxed more quickly because they knew us, so thank you for coming up with the idea of your leading us through it. It was great fun and I know I speak for us "actors" when I say "we had a ball!"
