We will be at The Pilot in Chiswick on Saturday 25th October for a Halloween show. The Pilot in Chiswick is a welcoming and historic local pub located at 56 Wellesley Road, just a short stroll from Gunnersbury Station in West London. Built in 1860 by Adam Askew, the name “The Pilot” pays homage to pilot horses that once guided barges on the nearby Thames, and the building is set within the Wellesley Road Conservation Area.
Originally reopened following a major refurbishment in 2016, the pub now offers a bright, airy interior featuring exposed brickwork, tiling, warm wood panelling and whimsical touches like circus wallpaper and colourful parquet flooring. The ground floor bar and dining spaces open into a spacious, partly‑covered beer garden equipped with heating and a large barbecue, perfect for British weather and summer BBQs. The menu reflects a commitment to seasonal, locally‑sourced ingredients.
Drinks feature locally brewed Fuller’s ales such as London Pride and ESB, rotating cask varieties, an artisan craft beer selection, and an extensive gin menu co‑created with Sipsmith, alongside quality wines and spirits.
The Pilot is well‑equipped for all guests: accessible entrances and toilets, free Wi‑Fi, and a cosy real fireplace. It’s a neighbourhood favourite for both relaxing meals and lively gatherings, and it hosts private events in its converted stable room known as The Wellesley Room, and this is where we will be for our Murder Mystery.
