Our Christmas event at Chilworth Manor Hotel is Who Killed Father Christmas and it is on 2nd December. The plot is set at the annual Christmas party of toy company Camberwick Toys. Hugh and Phyllis Pugh have much to celebrate as business is booming, thanks in no small part to the efforts of John Grubb, whose Father Christmas has been pulling in the crowds from far and wide. However, money has been going missing and it appears that Hugh is risking falling foul of a tight prenup by having an affair.
In the wings in a jealous Barney McGrew, an expert in all things Christmas who felt that he should have got the job. And then there's Cuthbert Dibble, the firm's marketing manager, who has been hanging out with dodgy criminals in order to fund his drug habit. Suddenly John Grubb dies in front of horrified guests, and it emerges that he is right in the middle of everyone's problems. They all wanted him out of the way.
So, we have Phyllis, the granddaughter of Camberwick's legendary founder. Then there's Hugh Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert Dibble ... and one of them killed Grubb.
The cost of the show is £49.95 and this includes a three course Christmas dinner followed by mince pies and coffee. Have a look at the menu here.
The hotel is offering a rate of £89 B&B for double occupancy and £59 single occupancy.
