This is a team building event which is designed to run over a half day in the setting of a country house hotel or similar venue. Your group is divided into teams to solve the Mystery of The Malteser Falcon.
A mysterious treasure is rumoured to be hidden somewhere at Crockett Hall. It is very rare and, according to documents discovered in a broken vase, it is extremely valuable. Its roots can be traced back to the Knights Templar and the mysterious document includes a code that your team must try to break.
However, talk of the treasure has piqued the interest of gangster Herbie Ravioli. He turns up to put the screws on treasure hunter Floyd Cairo. When Crockett Hall's owner, Lord Crockett, is found murdered events take a sinister turn and DI Willy Catchem arrives to take charge.
Can your team solve the murder and find the treasure?
The group is divided into teams of 5 or so and each team is given a briefcase containing instructions, a map, binoculars, a compass, a digital camera and a fingerprinting kit. We can also include costumes if the budget allows and this is hilarious, and ensures that you have some wonderful photos from the event.
Teams then head off around the venue (this works particularly well if you are at a country house hotel with grounds) to locate and meet witnesses and suspects. Clues must be collected and statements taken down.
Teams then return to put their case together and name the murderer. There is an electrifying final scene and then prizes are given out to the team who solved the crime.
This is a half day event, rather than a dinner plot. The closest plot to it for a dinner event is our Cluedo themed event.
